Colour plays a large part in the impact of your website. The colours and background designs used can give the user an impression of the formaility of the site.

Flat coloured backgrounds are judged to be more formal and are more often used for business sites. Patterened backgrounds are less formal and used more for personal sites where people are expressing something of their personality.

There is a colour chart on the emnu for choosing flat coloured backgrounds, and font colours. By using the "backgrounds" menus you can choose from over 800 designs we have collected together.
